Bombadil Delivery Vehicle

Well not just the Bombadil but any of the bikes now have a stylish ride to and from the trail head... new-to-me 2006 Honda Ridgeline with a DIY bed fork rack works pretty darn good.  The Bombadil and Saluki are to long to go straight back w/ the tailgate up but can either angle or hang out on the tailgate.

The Ridgeline has almost identical diameter tires to 650b x 2.25"... :)

Wakefield was awesome as usual, this slalom is probably my favorite part though I'm sure I'm not setting any speed records.  The woods path's along the Accotink Creek are amazing as well just not as easy to photograph.

I stripped off the 48mm Compass SBH EL tires, fenders, front rack and basket to turn my commuter-bombadil back into it's fun-loving, fat-knobby, dare-devil alter ego.

  1. Tony,
I like the addition of the Ridgeline! That should bring you years and 1,000s of miles of bike hauling adventure. The Bombadil looks great, too.

  2. Thanks Erl! It's kind of funky but I like it, very comfy and utilitarian.
